Arsenal revival??

Good ebening…. I sure as hell will miss that phrase. Honestly I wish him a more successful managerial career. But now we put that behind and focus on returning Arsenal to where it belongs. Norwich away is up next. Anything but three points will be disappointing from a team of our callibre. Ljunberg has been tasked with guiding us for now as we look for a permanent manager. He has promised to try and bring back smiles to the gunner faithfuls. Although he won’t be receive criticism even if results don’t go go his way, it’s a great opportunity for him to announce himself to the world. He is an old boy of the club and knows what the fans want, proper attacking football.

Aubemayang, Lacazette, Pepe, Özil, we just hav’ent seen enough of them this season. We will have to accept that we will concede goals in almost every game, but we’ve gotta hit back by scoring lots of goals. And I believe Norwich is just the game to regain the confidence of these players

Anyway let us not get too carried away. Let us enjoy the game on Sunday in the post Emery era and get behind the players#COYG#YaGunnersYa

Club management

Arsenal will have to work with limited funds for the foreseeable future. With Kroenke at the helm, his main agenda is to make profits for himself. He doesn’t care if we win trophies or not as long as he makes a profit during the transfer window. With other clubs willing to spend big in this summer window, it will be rough for us next season. City and Liverpool are already out of our reach. United are willing to spend a lot as they try to reshuffle the team and are linked to some big names. This means United will be far much better than us. I personally don’t see Tottenham making many signings but they are already much better than us and if they bring one or two players to strengthen their midfield, they will be miles ahead of us. Fortunately for us, Chelsea have a transfer ban and with Hazard moving to Real, they will find it hard without their talisman. But they still have many loanees who are in form and can bring them back to strengthen them, the likes of Tammy Abraham and Batshuayi. Newcastle have also been linked with a new owner who will be willing to spash money, meaning they could be running for top 4 at least if the new owner is appointed. The likes of Wolves, Leicester and Everton could also run for the Champions league spots depending on the signings they make.

Next season could turn out worse than this season. The club really has to do away with Kroenke if they want to go back where they used to be otherwise it will end up being a midtable team.

I also have my doubts about Emery. Many have said he did his best considering the funds he had to work with and the squad he had. I honestly believe he should have done better. I really doubted his tactics from the onset and clearly confirmed it during the Europa finals. Chelsea of all teams should not have won that game. I say this because in the league we comfortably beat them in the league with a clean sheet. Although we were the away team during the finals there were obviously more Arsenal fans than Chelsea fans. Again in the league at Stamford they narrow beat us. I believe if Chelsea should have won, it should have been by a max of one goal or penalties.

Emery has a problem with high profile players. We saw that with Neymar while he was at PSG and now with Mesut Özil. His feud with Özil saw him missing out on a lot of matches. He wanted a lot of him defensively than offensively and that’s the reason why he was far from his best this season. Again his team selection against Palace at home was horryfing. Had we won that game we would have finished fourth. But he opted for a weak starting line up that saw El Nenny and Guendouzi in the heart of midfield. He put a very weak midfield with a back three consisting of Mustafi and Mavropanos. This is one of the many reasons why I seriously doubt his managerial career. Again starting Cech in goal in the finals…disappointing. During the January window instead of pressuring the board to sign a defender brought in Suarez, who had a hard time settling and hardly got game time.

I think we need to get rid of Kroenke as well as Emery. Emery should not be given time as most of you must suggest otherwise we’ll just have another Wenger in our hands. He has already proven he’s not capable of leading us where we ought to be. We are Arsenal Football club and deserve much much better

Season preview

It’s been a disappointing season for all Arsenal fans. We started by losing our first two games then managed to go 22 games unbeaten. After that… Our away record was very poor, a feat which Emery was very much used to in Sevilla. We managed to hang to the top 4 since United and Chelsea were also far from their best. During the last weeks of the season, we needed the players to step up to secure a Champions league spot but they did what they do best, fuck up. Loses at Everton, Leicester, Palace, Wolves meant we were not making it to the Champions league spots. We settled for fifth but still had hope since we had made it to the Europa finals. We were up against our London rivals Chelsea who finished third. We took the derby to Baku. We needed the win much more than Chelsea in order to avoid a third consecutive season in Europa . 4-1 was the final score, missing out again on the Champions league football
